Hello, and welcome to our Project website. Our focus is to display and analyze trends of certain factors as they pertain to incarceration rates internationally.
The main goal was to locate links between Incarceration rates and factors such as Education Expenditure, Male Literacy, Female Literacy, Police Force Size, Human Inequality Development, Percent Poverty, Social Progress Index (SPI), & Human Development Index (HDI). We will determine if the SPI or HDI’s information is congruent and which, if either, gives a better representation of human life. This will uncover trends that may be difficult to locate with the abundance of data initially provided. Conclusively we will determine whether there are, or are not any trends between the factors previously stated.
We are students at the University of Florida enrolled in URP 4273 (Urban Planning). Our names and Majors are as follows (from left to right) :
